Earth Day 2018

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on the 22nd April worldwide. It was founded by United States Senator G. Nelson in 1970 to focus on issues related to environment after an oil-spill in Santa Barbara, California. It is now celebrated in more than 193 countries each year.

This year our school joined in this movement to raise awareness for the environment. A presentation was given by two form 3 students under the supervision of Ms. Alison Allendörfer, in which students were made aware what the major environmental concerns are and what can be done to mitigate these issues. Students were asked to wear a green t-shirt for the occasion and encouraged to give a small donation. The money will be used to plant trees that not only make our school look better but will give us cleaner air.
