Our school received two bronze awards during this year’s Dinja Waħda annual awards event, held on the 24th October at the Salina Reserve. The school participated in the Action for Biodiversity and Connecting with Nature categories. These included work done by the Green Club students in the school’s West End Wildlife Garden and the Olive Project for Vulnerable Youths, co-ordinated by Mr. Sandro Borg and Mrs. Pauline Tufigno respectively during the last scholastic year.
This event also showcased examples of good practice that help raise environmental awareness, including the related mural created by eTwinning students outside the Biology lab.
Students present were also given an explanation about the use of the salt pans through the ages by Birdlife official Mr. Victor Falzon.
