School Uniform

The wearing of the correct uniform is required according to school regulations, this shows respect to the school and college. Observance of these regulations will be closely monitored.

The very meaning of the word “Uniform” describes a unity of dress, a sign of respect and belonging to the college and the school. Deviations for the required uniform will not be allowed, and students not observing these regulations will be asked to return to school in proper uniform.

Any kind of jewellery is not to be worn to school (with the exception of one pair of stud earrings for girls). Similarly, uniform items which have been damaged (e.g. torn or scribbled upon) are not acceptable.

PE Uniform

Students are allowed to attend school in their uniform tracksuit when they have their PE lesson. They are to wear their PE shorts and t-shirt underneath their tracksuit bottoms and jacket in order for them to change quickly for their PE lesson. The jacket may be worn optionally depending on the weather but track suit trousers are to be worn at all times except during PE lesson.

Summer Uniform

The summer uniform consists of:

  1. Polo-shirt,
  2. Trousers or skirt
  3. Dark blue socks
  4. Black Shoes

Please note that:

  1. Girls’ trousers should be of regular length – up to 5 cm above knee
  2. Socks are to be ankle high

Summer uniform is worn until about early November and from early May – according to weather.

Winter Uniform

The winter uniform consists of:

  1. Pinstriped white shirt,
  2. Trousers or skirt
  3. Scarf
  4. Pull-over (optional under Blazer)
  5. Blazer
  6. Long dark blue socks or tights
  7. Black shoes

Please note that:

  1. Girls’ trousers should be of regular length – up to 5 cm above knee
  2. Scarf to be worn over shirt collar in case of girls and tie to be worn by boys
  3. Knee length socks to be worn with skirts
  4. In cold weather, a plain black quilted jacket is allowed
  5. Black gloves and scarves may be worn
  6. Hair should neatly tied
  7. Girls are allowed stud earrings only

The following are deemed to go against school uniform policy and are not permitted:

  1. Beanies or berets
  2. Make-up, nail polish or false nails
  3. Any kind of jewellery, fancy watches or hair decorations
  4. Irregular hairstyles with shaved lines or disigns
  5. Body piercings
  6. Short skirts – if repeatedly warned, these will have to be replaced by trousers
  7. Damaged or scribbled on items of clothing
  8. Zip-up jackets, fleecy jackets or hooded jackets

Footwear:

This is a very important item and the correct footwear is required both for conformity to uniform regulations as well as for the physical well-being of students.

Ballerina shoes or shoes with high heels are not to be worn to school, black shoes with the right amount of support are required.

Sports shoes used for PE are to be mainly white in colour and of good quality.

School bags

In order to promote a healthy lifestyle, only school bags with two straps that are worn over the back (backpack or rucksack type) are allowed. Handbags and other types of bags that are worn over one shoulder are not to be used for school.
