Eighteen Year 10 students are involved in an Erasmus+ project called FEEL:Future Empowered European Leaders. As part of this project, the students are learning the skills of debating. Through debating they enhance various skills such as public speaking, team work and critical thinking.
The following is the poster with various thoughts as to why debating should be part of the curriculum.
The Maltese students were involved in their first debate. The proposition was: We believe that social media has improved our way of life. Both teams argued in an excellent way, and it was evident that they had researched the topic well. However, with 4 votes to 1, the opposing team won the debate.
