Year 11 students’ Macbeth Theatre experience

Our Year 11 English Literature students have recently had the opportunity to conclude their studies on Shakespeare’s Macbeth in the most fitting way – by watching it come to life on stage! This was made possible by the Culture Pass scheme, that screened for free at Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta, a filmed, live performance by the National Theatre of London.

Students enjoyed all 2 hours 30 minutes of it, and discussion with teachers regarding the different aspects of this production followed in class.

One of our country’s main actors, Chris Dingli, has also been invited to our school to perform his ‘Shakeshorts’ adaptation of Macbeth for our Year 9 and 10 students.  That should really kindle their interest in the Scottish play!
